What happens when one mixes sleep deprivation and frustration with a random comment from one’s spouse? Well, I don’t know about you, but in my case the combination spawned a ridiculous little blog series called Letters From a Psychopath.
Letters details the lives of aging horror movie maniacs as they shuffle through their golden years in a high security nursing home. If you know your horror movies and have a fine appreciation for outright camp, then you will probably enjoy this series. If not, well, there are plenty of wonderful writers on this site from whom you can get your reading fix.
When I wrote what is now the initial installment of Letters, I never intended it to be anything more than an exercise in finding my inner Stooge. I posted it as a MySpaz blog in June 2007 and, surprisingly, my readers liked it. I posted a second installment the next week titled (duh) Letters From a Psychopath - The Sequel. People seemed to like that one, too. Before I knew it, Letters became a weekly post…and I began having problems keeping up with it. I decided the best way to manage was to give the series a dedicated home.
Here.
So come on in, take your coat off and visit for a while. Mike, Jay, and the rest of the gang are just itching to prove that life doesn’t have to end at 70 or 80 or 90…or ever, if you’re a fictional, quasi-immortal serial killer.
Thanks for your patronage.
